On January 29th we celebrated Grandparents’ Day in St. Colman’s as part of Catholic Schools Week. The children welcomed their grandparents/godparents into their classrooms to allow them to see what school is like in 2020. We sang songs, recited poems, showed our art and we asked our grandparents questions about their schooldays!
The choir performed Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” for the grandparents/godparents in the hall while they enjoyed a cup of tea. Ms. Beecher played the piano and Ms. Kearney (2nd Class) and Mrs. Healy conducted the choir. Thank you to our wonder Parents Association who served teas and coffees and lots of lovely treats to our guests. We would like to thank all our grandparents/godparent for coming to our school! We really enjoyed their visit.
