First Holy Communion

All of the staff of St Colmans, are thinking of the 2nd class children today who were due to make their First Holy Communion. The children, their families and their teachers were so looking forward to this special day.

In due course, the children will receive this Sacrament and we will be there to celebrate and enjoy this wonderful occasion with them. May the blessings of God be with you all.

Fr. Pat will remember the boys and girls at 6 pm Mass this evening (May 16th) Live broadcast on Parish of Cloyne Facebook page

Online Educational Websites for School Closure

Teachers have sent suggestions of work children can do while school is shut. Please email or

if you did not receive message on Aladdin.

Here are some links to educational websites parents might find helpful while schools are closed.

It is important to engage in other general activities such as reading daily, board games, mental and social maths- weight, time, capacity, length, money, baking, gardening, and lego.

The closure is unprecedented and the school appreciates your understanding and patience.

Stay safe and healthy.

St. Colman’s will mark “Proclamation Day” with a short ceremony at 11:20am. We will  commemorate and reflect upon the events of 100years ago through music and verse.  We will then read the Proclamation of 1916 and 2016 and finally we will raise our National Flag.
We invite all parents to the commemoration.
