The girls from 5th and 6th classes participated in the SPAR FAI soccer competition on Wednesday 11th March in Knockgriffin. The girls played very well and came in 2nd place. Thank you to Fergal Cunningham and Margaret Daly who have come to the school to teach soccer skills to the children. Huge thanks to parents who brought girls to the soccer and cheered them on. Well done girls!!

Parent’s Day for Active Week 2016
Today, 13th June, saw parents get involved in some activities as part of our School’s Active Week. There was some skipping, some balloon popping, a water and egg and spoon race! Great fun was had by both parents and children. Thank you to all parents who took part and made the day a success! Thank you also to Ms Power, Ms Beecher and Ms Kearney for organising the activities. The events are as follows
June 9th – Soccer Blitz for 6th Class and Playground games – 5th Class teaching games to Junior classes
June 10th – Playground Games and 4th Class School Tour
June 13th – Parents Sports Day @1pm
June 14th – School Sports Day
June 15th – 3rd Class School Tour and Novelty games
June 16th – 5th Class School Tour and PE with another Class
June 17th – Teachers VS 6th Class Rounders
Yesterday the boys and girls from St Colman’s N.S competed at the Cork City Sports. All boys and girls were a credit to their school. They all performed extremely well and had fun in the process! We are all very proud of each and every one of you. Well Done!!!
